A Catholic Priest charged with child pornography

A Catholic priest in Waterford Connectuct has been arrested and charged with   child pornography, according to statements made by the Waterford police.

A 66 year-old Dennis Carey, who recently stepped down as the pastor for the St. Paul Parish Rectory appeared before the court and was held on $100,000 bond in the London Superior Court.

Dennis Carey did not enter a plea,  and bail was held at 100,000 bond on the charge of first-degree possession of child pornography. During his arraignment, Carey’s attorney stated that Carey has “been struggling with the issue for awhile.”
