Grass linked to cattle deaths in Texas
A Hybrid grass breed is responsible for 15 cattle deaths in Elgin Texas. The grass produced a cyanide gas, this is not a repeat from a bad Sci-Fi movie.
The cows died three ago on an 80-acre ranch owned by Jerry Abel in Elgin Texas.
Preliminary tests revealed the Tifton 85 grass, which has been on the pasture for 15 years, had suddenly started producing cyanide gas, poisoning the cattle.
