Futurama boldy goes into season 6 on Comedy Central

Starting June 24th 2010, Comedy Central will begin showing new episodes of the Emmy award winning show.  Season 6 which is set to show 26 episodes, 12 being in 2010 and 14 in 2011 will be the largest season for the show.

Futurama which orginally launched on Fox in 1999 and aired through 2003. Adult Swim and Comedy Central kept Futurama alive with repeats. Comedy Central showed the feature length episodes  Bender’s Big Score,” “The Beast with a Billion Backs,” “Bender’s Game” and “Into the Wild Green Yonder.

Ratings, DVD sales, and large fan base helped spur talks of a comeback, in which Comedy Central annouced that they plan filling the 10PM Thursday evening slots for the next broadcast year.
