A 25 year old Granite Falls Washington said he accidently shot his girlfriend with a gun used during foreplay after a wild night of drinking.

The couple's two young children were asleep in the same room on a different bed, Police Officials said.

Meat Salesman busted for swallowing joint

ATHENS, Tennessee. - Police said they have arrested a door-to-door meat salesman who swallowed a marijuana joint as they watched.

30-year-old Robert Sherk  faces charges of tampering with evidence and resisting arrest. Sherk was being held on a $5,000 bond.

 

   

Dixie Carter dead at age 70

Dixie Carter had a long career as an actress and cabaret singer.  Her signature role was as the opinionated star of "Designing Women," which focused on four women running an interior design firm in Atlanta. The show ran from 1986 to 1993.

Dixie Carter is survived by daughters Mary Dixie and Ginna and a sister, Melba Helen Heath. She was divorced from Arthur Carter and actor George Hearn

   

Six Illegal Aliens gang rape woman in Virgina

--Waldorf, Virginia Six illegal aliens are charged with holding a woman against her will overnight and gang raping her, Police officials said.

One of the men first met the 30-year-old Alexandria woman Monday night at an Alexandria nightclub, authorities reported. He offered to drive her home, and when she got to his car, there were several other men inside the vechicle.

video depicting US forces killing of two Reuters journalists in Iraq

The video released today shows something quite different. A group of about 15 Iraqi men on a filthy street, chatting and walking along, apparently unaware of the helicopters watching them. One of the Americans in the helicopter says "that's a weapon" while his cross-hairs focuses on a man identifies as Mr. Noor-Eldeen, one of two Reuters personnel killed who has what appears to be a professional camera slung over his right shoulder.
