Microsoft warned that IE 6 and 7 are vulnerable to yet another zero day exploit. With support ending for IE 6 a few days ago, Microsoft is urging those effected upgrade to IE 8. Those there are a plethora of other browsers such as Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and Safari
Do not press F1 key on Windows XP

When prompted by a website, as Micrsoft as waned users of a massive security flaw in found in Windows XP. The vulnerability exists in the way that VBScript interacts with Windows Help files when using Internet Explorer. A malicious Web site displayed a specially crafted dialog box and a user pressed the F1 key, arbitrary code could be executed in the security context of the currently logged-on user. Westin Hotel's in L.A. possibly hacked last year

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles last year and used their credit or debit card to eat there should examine their bank statements and request a new card. Hotel officials disclosed Friday that the hotel's four restaurants, along with its valet parking operation, may have been hacked at some time between April and December, disclosing names, credit card numbers and expiration dates printed on customers' debit and credit card.

In the name of improved security a hacker showed how a biometric passport issued in the name of long-dead rock 'n' roll king Elvis Presley could be cleared through an automated passport scanning system being tested at an international airport.
